Founder Karen Lawrence has carved a distinctive path for herself and It’s My Affair, LLC. Boasting over 22 years of expertise in conference, event, and meeting management, Karen’s journey includes pivotal roles like Senior Meeting Planner at Bank of America and Conference Manager Director for the Council of Education in Management.

Recognized for her organizational prowess, Karen served on the 2017-2018 UNC Charlotte Continuing Education Meeting & Event Planning Program Board of Advisors. In 2002, she launched IMA, infusing each event with professionalism and a commitment to surpassing client expectations.

Guided by Karen’s leadership, the IMA team is equipped to deliver world-class service for corporate meetings, conferences, government programs, and special events, embodying her vision of continual growth and success.
